There is no difference. Tramadol is bound to a hydrochloride to give it ionic stability. Tramadol HC is just the proper way to write out the name of Ultrm. Usually you will see it just as tramadol.

There is no "tramadol hc".

It's tramadol hcl (or Ultram). The hcl stands for hydrochloride. It's just part of the generic name. The "l" probably just got left off somehow.

You mean hcl. It's the short form for hydrochloride, and it's simply part of the formulation of a number of meds, including Tramadol.

The only difference is 3 letters on the label.

I take Ultram which is TramadolHCL. They are the same drug. It is a class 4 controlled substance. However, it is not an opioid
