It depends on how active the dog is. For most large breeds its between 90-120 when resting. If the dog is very athletic, it may be a little lower, if stressed it may be slightly higher. Anything over 150 while resting (in a lab) should be considered a medical emergency.

Resting pulse rate is 60 to 100 beats per minute (bpm). If you are a well trained athlete, the resting pulse rate will be 40 to 60 bpm.
