I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions of cocktails or drinks that I might like considering I don't like the taste of alchohol. I can drink beers on occassion, but I got drunk on tequilla once and now can't stand the taste of alchohol at all really. I would like to find a drink that I could order when we go out. I haven't tried any mix drinks really, but have tasted like frozen daqueris at restaraunts and stuff and even those were too strong tasting.

I like almost anything made with milk and ice cream. If you ask them to go light on the alcohol then you usually can't taste it. Might I suggest a White Russian or a Slow Gin Fizz on the blinder. The whole idea in a bar or restaurant is to make the first few strong and then to lighten up on the alcohol. Good luck and don't drink too fast just kind of sip it.

I don't like the taste of alcohol either. If you're not positively determined to have a coctail with alcohol in it, there are a lot of other things to try, depending on your tastes.

There are a couple of alcoholic beverages you might like: one is called Cask & Cream, and it's a cordial (comes in a little fancy glass.) Also, Ameretto, same idea, it comes from almonds and is delicious. Another is Frambois, it's a raspberry liquor, good on the rocks. Theres's also a melon liquor, but I can't think of it's name, I'm sure somebody else on this site can. A very "light on the alcohol" coffee brandy with milk or cream is good, as is a Brandy Alexander.(A good one is really delicious, it comes with a sprinkling of nutmeg on top and a good one is also frothy on top. (Lord, I haven"t had one in years!)

Otherwise, you can just have a "Virgin" coctail that's made out of a mixer you like, for example, a virgin mary-tomato juice with seasonings but no vodka. Any other juices you like would do as well, like cranberry or orange juice. Just ask for a wege of fruit, and it looks elegant.

Oh, and you can also ask for any of the liquors and juices I mentioned mixed with sparkling water, that's delicious too. Don't be afraid to ask for anything like a frozen daiqueri without the alcohol, and Enjoy yourself, you'll be the designated driver and the only one without a hangover the next day. Actually, these days it's considered more sophisticated to abstain from alcohol most times anyway.

I would stick with the foo foo drinks like daiquiris and things that are considered girly drinks. But as far as alcohol content it really depends on the restaurant. I went to an Italian restaurant in Upstate NY and ordered a chocolate martini and had to send it back and get something else because it was SOOO strong but I went to Appelbees two days ago and ordered a chocolate martini and drank it in 2 seconds because it was so yummy and you couldn't even tell it had alcohol. I suggest sticking with heavy flavors or fruity drinks and you kinda just have to try different places to see which have strong alcohol in their drinks and which don't.

You cant really taste the alcohol in a pina colada yumm! Midiouri Sours are good too though I always keep stuff on hand to make those at home. Also My favorite drink is a "Buttery Nipple" (Or at least thats what we call it around here) It has Butterscotch Snapps, Baileys Irish Cream, and milk and you cant taste the alcohol in it....But really why drink if you dont like it??! Stick with coke!

If you like sweet drinks I have a suggestion (that won't make you violently ill the next day as most sugary sweet drinks tend to do that). Try Framboise, it's a lambic, it's a type of beer but it doesn't taste like beer at all, it tastes more like a fruit flavored soda (which also makes it very dangerous to drink because you can drink A LOT of it). Try it, I promise on my life that you will like it, it comes in all sorts of yummy flavors (you can usually only find it at Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, and sometimes at supermarkets IF they have a decent selection of alcoholic beverages)

i hate the taste of alcohols- my favorite drink is something i came up with myself

root beer schnapps and sprite or 7up

when mixed, even if it is mixed heavily with alcohol, it tastes like root beer soda... very good

another drink you might like is an ice cream drink- alot of places dont have them, but if you can find a place that makes ice cream drinks called pink squirrels or grasshoppers, then try one.

also, try some jello shots- it is little pieces of jello, which is made with alcohol- you dont really taste the booze cuz you sweallow it rght down in the jello

one other thing you might like, which is a bit more upscale-- its called a belinni

1/2 glass of peach juice or nectar and 1/2 glass champagne or white wine

try a drink called a "long Island Iced Tea." it has 3 different liquors in it and cola. It tastes just like a regular iced tea.

Try a Shirley Temple. If you don't like alcohol then leave it alone. You don't have to have it and most likely it'll only cause you some kind of problem one day. It alters you mind and kills brain cells, so do yourself a favor and just leave it alone. If you didn't like liver then you wouldn't eat it would you.

Sangria might fit the bill, or a Long Island Ice tea
