i am having a problem when i run a scan for parasites and other things?

i get a messege saying [ INVALID DATA TYPE FOR "FLAG"] ANY HELP WELCOME

Bit difficult, as you haven't told us what program you are using to do the scan. My advice would be to install both a virus killer and a spyware scanner. AVG Antivirus is free to download and isn't bad for a freebie, just do a yahoo search for avg free, and it'll be the first or second listing. Then install Spybot Search & Destroy. Again, free, and again search for spybot s on yahoo. Whatever you are currently using sounds like it is corrupt or it could be getting intercepted by some malicious prog on your machine.
