I've been watching bridget Jones film and in it she goes to Thailand. I never knew Thailand was so stunning. has anyone been there? Is it good for holidays?

Absolutely. People here are so easy-going and so hospitable. Scenery is stunning as well. From the mountainous forests in the north, the green rice fields in the Northeast, to the pristine white beaches in the South, Thailand has everything to offer the want-it-all tourist.
Food is excellent, and everything is cheap.
Thailand has a great culture and history, as well as modern comforts.
Can't say enough until you come try it yourself. There really is nothing to lose in getting to know another country and culture better.

Love it. Lived there for a while for work, will be retiring there when the time comes.
The diversity you can see there is amazing. Don't get caught up with the tourist antics in densely populated areas, get out in the countryside and see the real Thailand. The people are wonderful, the food is fantastic, and the scenery is breathtaking. From the mountains and forest in the north to rubber trees and jungle as far as the eye can see in the south, to the lush beaches on both coasts, you can't go wrong with Thailand.

Thailand, good? No, it's addictive. Most answerers here are addicts, me too. If there are any other countries or places you would like to visit, go there before you land Thailand.

are you kidding me, my dad said on his tour of asia, thailand was his favorite (no offense to others, plz) the people are so so friendly and nice, my dad didn't even know english and he got around banghkok fine (alone) it is beautiful country and they have delicious food. (pud thai)

Many many plane loads arrive daily... Tourism is big biz. here.. and many many return often - and retire here...
And yes, it is a great holiday and the overwhelming % of visitors love it..

yes it is good for holidays, good for shopping, eating and they have great beaches as well, been to Bangkok, Koh Samui and Koh Phagan lots of times, cheers
