What's your question? If your sanitary stack that goes through the roof is clogged, the floor drains will be slow, the pipes will gurgle, the toilet won't flush well, etc. The sanitary stack is your plumbing's pressure valve.

After a decade or two and especially if there are overhanging trees or many birds, those stacks can become clogged. They need professional cleaning. Don't do it yourself with a garden hose........you can easily make a major mess.

I would love to know what your question is.

If it has to do with the clogged vent as one of the answers has already covered. I will tell you I had ours done about 2 years ago and it was roughly $100.00 per vent or clean out. We have 6 so do the math. But the plumbing works perfectly. Our roof vents had never been cleaned in 27 years and we are under oak trees, I was surprised they hadn't caused real problems.

yes all drains must be vented
so in addition to a trap under the drain, upline there must be a vent, otherwise the floor dair will pull water out of the trap and sewer gases will flow in
