I am sure you are very tired! Maybe you can start going to the gym or yoga class a 2 or 3 times a week? I dont know if you can get a sitter, but that would give you some YOU TIME during the day, and a bit of a break... just going for 1-2 hours might be enough. Maybe one of those days could be a weekend, so their dad could watch them? Exercise really helps us to gain more stamina... you could also start an exercise at home program... if you have time? In the evening, you could curl up with a good book; put candles in the bathroom and take a nice, relaxing bath; use some sort of aromatherapy in a quiet space and listen to soothing music with headphones. i hope you get some good answeres here. you seem like a busy person!!

Take a nice warm shower/bath and read a book in a quiet room. Try to think positive thoughts. Deep breathing techniques. Dont think of life's big problems or upsetting things right before bed. Try yoga or tai chi in the daytime.

Some laughter really helps. Since you can't get to sleep, then it's not going to do you any good just laying in bed and waiting. Relax yourself to the point that you are not bothered by your insomnia (this is difficult at first). Then get up and find something funny. Once you have a good time, your body will most likely be prepared to get to sleep.

Do some quiet things before you go to bed. Turn down the music. Decrease the stimulation at bedtime.
There are books available at your library that teach you stress decreasing exercises. Look up "guided imagery" and other techniques along those lines. They really help.
Good luck!!!

Pray but I take 5HTP which is a amino acid. A vitamin that has no side effects in the morning and at night. Sure helps me to go to sleep at night. I also take L-T another amino acid. Go to a health food store and they will help you find it. Drink some warm milk.

Chammomil Tea! It works wonders. Also try reading before going to bed. It seems to take your mind off of the things that are happening in your life.

Try deep breathing. Count to ten when you breathe out and count to ten again when you breathe in. Try that for about five minutes and you'll probably feel more relaxed. Somebody else mentioned, Chamomile tea, I have tried that and it works pretty well--but you have to really want to go to sleep, it's really mild and it doesn't feel like a drug.
