He broke up with me because he said that it would better to break up now, rather then ten years from now and the idea of marraige overwhelms him and that if he satyed with me after so long, eventually he would've cheated on me. He said that he never even contemplated marraige before me, he loves me, and he misses me. And he wants everything to go back to the way it was before we broke up...to be honest nothing has changed since we broke up except titles. We still did everything like we were together, but I don't know because what if he does it again? I've cried and hurt and everything.

Well Ms, Hurt
If he broke up with you its for some reason, I don't really think its because he said "its better to break up now rather ten years latter".. I don't believe that. The thing I believe is that he is not ready to have a serious relationship, so what you need to do let him go. cuz you are the one that's going to end up loosing at the end, yes all relationships hurt but we don't die. If you go back with him he will do it again trust me. You already notice nothing has change, what makes you think it will? nothing. No girl deserve to be treated like that at first. move on!!!!! he's not ready.

Don't let him treat you like some carnival ride...he got bored and bailed....then it seemed like a fun ride after all....so he wants back on. What makes you think he won't dump you again? He's just passing time til something better comes along. Maybe he a controling guy and it's all sport to him. Either way, do your self a favor and run like hell. There are other guys out there who aren't so scared of commitment and don't cheat. Seriously, if he is bad now...it can only get worse.

I would say if your high school sweetheart then get back together, well if he has a job and is not a mooch then take him back. But if he is a free-loader. Move on. I'm 43 and it seems to me that people that married their hs sweethearts are still married, others don't seem to last.

well. sounds like it was a good thing that he broke up with you because of his reasons but do u love him? Because that will answer all of your questions. So maybe you won't get married but just think about your relationship. you may not be right for him but is he right for you?

Talk it out with him. You could give him a chance but explain to him that it did hurt. I'd think it through, cause what do you really want? If your feelings are strong, I'd say give him a chance. But if something goes wrong, or you think his feelings have changed, I wouldn't stay.

Don't take him back. he broke up with you and that is his fault. You could do better than that.
