I asked this 4 times last night, the first 3 didn't get any answers so I deleted them. The 4th one got deleted by a violation which I don't understand (0 answers again), I asked another question to make sure my questions were posting and that there was nohing wrong with my internet, I got answers for that one so my internets's ok. So why didn't I get any answers for the first 3 and the 4th got deleted with no answers? Here's the question.

From answers and questions I've read on here plus some debates with Atheists and things I've seen on sites, the Atheist argument seems to be mainly a mirror. Someone says "I feel God exists." and an Atheist says "I feel he doesn't exist, but my feelings aren't as important as yours right?" Do you realize that if you take that and apply it in other places, you will have to accept everything and don't really have the right to try and change anyones mind about anything? LIke for example, incest, say someone you're talking to says they're into incest, what would your first reaction? Most likely "Eewwww, sick! I think incest's wrong" the person could then respond with "Well I don't think it's wrong. But my feelings aren't as important as yours right?." So, really, Atheists that use that argument have no business telling other people what's wrong or what's right, everyone's feelings are different right? What do you think?

It's like not even a hate question, just a flaw I noticed.

Ok, to everyone who answered, thank you.

I guess the question doesn't really make sense written that way so sometime, I'm going to rewrite it. Maybe I shouldn'tve used "feelings" for an example either, replace feelings with evidence and you'll get what I mean.

I'm sorry for the 'Are Atheists Afraid" thing too. I asked it multiple times and got no answers so I figured atheists didn't have any arguments against it. But I was wrong lol.

F.Y.I: I didn't mean this to sound like I hate Atheists either seeing as how I am one :) . I believe differently then most Atheists though, I don't believe in God but I do believe in a soul and most Atheists group those two together.

Anyway, I'll rewrite the question some other time so I'll see you then. ;)

If the question you asked is anything like this one, it was probalby not answered and then deleted because it doesn't really make any sense. Consider looking at what you wrote after to you write it and before you submit it. You might find a way to edit it so that it is comprehensible to other people.

I'm not sure you understand how the report system works. There's no "someone on yahoo answers" in the sense of an employee of Yahoo who pulls questions or answers off for violation of community guidelines. There's a computer program that receives reports as data, correlates this with a formula for who made the report, what their history of reporting shows about their reliability, and when its criteria are met, pulls the question or answer. So yes, "someone" reported it, but we users have no way of knowing who. Probably two or three people reported it. Of course, the reasons why are mere speculation. Perhaps they took offense at the way the question was worded rather than the content of the question. Perhaps they were sufficiently convinced that the testimony of the converted atheist was a lie that they felt it would come under the heading of "fraud," one of the violations of community guidelines. There are, after all, a great many people who believe that if it seems supernatural, it is fraudulent. Or perhaps it is an unusual but not supernatural occurrence. Or that it is a result of some misunderstood capability of the human mind. I could continue to speculate, but perhaps you get my point: don't infer anything from the fact that the question was removed.

I've been on this site almost daily for months and have never seen the exchange you describe.

Apart from that, I agree with Laptop Jesus 2.0 -- atheism is about evidence, not feelings.

Like most believers, I also "feel" (sometimes) that it would be nice to have a god, someone whose job it is to make everything come out right in the end. However, I KNOW that my feelings are not the same as reality, so I'm always careful not to confuse what I feel with what I know.

I have much better reasons to believe there is no God. I would say you are either seeking out Atheists who give such answers or you refuse to acknowledge better ones.

I am very familiar with Christianity, and was a devout Christian for many years. I quit Christianity due not only the contradictions of the Bible, but the character of the god described in the Bible is pretty obviously a human construct to be used for personal gain. Even if it were a real god, it would be a vile and dispicable thing, much more evil and destructive that it's arch-nemesis.

There are a few good concepts in the Bible, such as "do unto others as you would have them do unto you" and :love thy neighbor as thy self", but the whole thing could be condensed into a pamphlet and not lose much in the process.

I can see how you can come to that conculsion. But, that is only one answer to the debate. A rather poor one at that.

Most of our answers are made in either self defense or in frustration at religeon zealots. Not the most condusive states to answer logically.

However, the argument againt GOD , well my argument is simple. I don't know if there is a god. If there is one, we do not matter to it. Religeon is a social control, that is what it is buildt to do. Nothing else but control. In some instances the leash of religeon is rather lightly felt, ( buddists) in others ( catholism) it is a dominateing force subjugating people to its cruel edicts.

As for "proof" or reason for my claim - have you see how large the universe is, at least the part we know of? In all that space there is supposed to be one male diety ( per xtians) that loves only us humans. and that was after he made use make war on ourselfs, flooded our speciecs to near extintion, and then picked on little boys by mauling them with bears. Some great love he has shown. We do not matter to such a being as this " god" we are not but motes of dust in the stream of time. to think god would care for any of us is the hight of arrogance. to think there is a god and that he cares about you is the hight of ignorance.

That is MY answer, it may not hold for all or even some atheists, but that is how I feel.

From what I have read on this site that answer tends to get written a lot because people don't believe the questioner really wants their opinion. A lot of those questions are asked with the sole intent of shouting down opposite opinions/calling people deluded/insulting them. When some one answers but my opinion doesn't count right they miss out as much as yours does in your opinion.

I hope that makes sense as its quite a difficult concept for me to write down, just pick up on me if you need any of it clarifying - that's if my opinion really counts to you and this is a real question.

I've never seen an atheist use that argument before. I don't care what others believe in as long as they aren't trying to force their beliefs on others especially through passage of laws based on religious beliefs.

Afraid of this question? No...but it wasn't a very clear question.

It seems atheists are the rudest people on here. They are forever attacking anyone who believes in God and always answering questions about God even when a person says "Christians only please!" with an insulting belittling remark. I don't get it either. It must be like Jesus said. All men know the truth inside. They are denying the truth so therefore they are hostile toward God and us.

IT's probably because it's so long-winded. Read a bit and you'll see, long posts don't get answered.

Oh no! It's that atheists are "afraid"! Haha :)

OK - I reread your original question. I don't think I've EVER seen an atheist say what you claim they say. "I don't FEEL a god exists." Atheiests aren't about feelings, they're about evidence. They might say "show me proof of a god" but they don't tend to say "I don't FEEL like one exists." Sure, you might find one out of a hundred, but I haven't seen one on here that I remember.

Now my question to you - why did you grossly misrepresent Atheists? Was it intentional or are you "afraid" of looking at them honestly. I'm going to follow your example and decide you must be afraid :)

The God issue is not as matter of feelings it is a matter of logic and common sense!

There has been NOTHING! NO NOT ONE SINGLE ACT!!!
In which this God has done anything to help anyone or improve this world one bit!!! Yet I am to blindly accept that this brutal child killing bastard is real???
This God that looks at everyone that does believe in him as a SLAVE!! 1 Corinthians 6:20 YE ARE BOUGHT WITH A PRICE!! ONLY A SLAVE CAN BE BOUGHT!!!

Face reality this God is completely man made!
This God has been jused by man to justify every single evil thing they have wanted to do!
TIME TO KILL THIS GOD AND REMOVE THE EXCUSE WELL GOD TOLD ME TO!! CRAP!! THERE IS NO GOD!!

FOLLOW THE EVIDANCE!!!
NO EVIDANCE OF GOD!!!!!!!
