It depends on what kind of xm reciever you have. If you just bought the tuner that connects into the cd player than it would be hardwired to the battery and then plugged in the back of the cd player.
If the xm reciever is a seperate unit it probably has a built in wireless transmitter. With this you set it to a certain radio station on your cd player to listen to the xm. If you wanted to hardwire it to the cd player you would need a wired fm transmitter. this plugs into your antenna in the back of your radio.
to take out the radio all u need is some prongs that should have come with your radio. if u need more go to like autozone or somewhere and get some for cheap. then put them in the sides and the radio will come out.

use the removal tool that came with the deck.

if u dont have that any more, just go to your local car audio place, and they will either give them to you, or for a couple of bucks. then just slide them bown the side, till they click, and pull.
