Some men are not good at the spoken affection but show it just fine.Ask yourself this.. If he shows me he loves me and treats me good and has good ability to be affectionate, than why do I need the words??
You see, anyone can say something they don't mean cause words are just that.Words!
But to be able to show it is something you cant just throw out in a lie.
Don't worry about the words, some day when he gets older and more secure with himself he will be able to say it just fine. For now.. reap what others only get to hear and not truly receive.
Good Luck!

Do you really know? Suppose he doesn't say it, because he doesn't love you -- but you have decided that he does, or he must, because he said it once or twice.

Or perhaps he does love you, but doesn't trust you; he's afraid that one day he might say it, and you'll have fallen out of love with him, and he doesn't want to be out on a limb like that.

So, either he doesn't love you, or doesn't trust you...or was raised to not say it. Look to his parents; if they're open with their verbal affections, then he doesn't love (or doesn't trust) you. If they're not verbally affectionate, then it's probably just the way he was raised, and you shouldn't sweat it.

It's hard for men to show that kind of emotion and to state it aloud... I've been with the same guy for years and it's still hard for him to say he loves me, he does it anyway, but it tends to be that men are better at showing it than saying it. And they are also much better at doing it when there is nobody else around.

probably because he wants to make sure that when he says it, he really means it. its better to wait to say it. i've heard that if u say i love you too soon in a relationship...that relationship won't last. be patient about it. he could also be afraid if u didnt say it to him. some guys dont like to make the first move when it comes to things like that. he'll say it when he feels the time is right.

Either he doesnt love you or if he does but doesnt say it, its probably because his actions should show it. My man has that problem too. I dont know if they see it as a weakness or what the deal is

Maybe he wasnt real close to his family and isnt used to saying that. It can be very aqward at first if you have never said it before. Does he say it to his parents alot? If he does then maybe he just doesnt feel that comfortable with you to say it.

a lot of ppl think that when they say "i love you" you are giving everything.. that makes u feel like you are vulnerable.. if you dont say i love you then you basically feel like you arent able to be hurt.
he just doesnt wanna put everything out there and get hurt...
