Most dandruff is caused by a disorder of the oil-secreting glands known as seborrhea. Read on for various steps you can take to reduce or eliminate this embarrassing condition.

STEP 1: Mix 8 tbsp. peanut oil with the juice of half a lemon. Rub the mixture into your hair, leave on for 10 minutes and then wash as usual. STEP 2: Add 3 drops of tea tree oil, a natural antiseptic, to a small amount of shampoo and then wash your hair. STEP 3: Rinse your hair with a solution of 1/4 c. vinegar and 1 qt. water. STEP 4: Use an infusion of the herbs chaparral or thyme as a hair rinse. STEP 5: Add flaxseed oil, primrose oil or fish oil to your diet. STEP 6: Use kelp as a seasoning. STEP 7: Take selenium, vitamin B complex, vitamin E and zinc supplements. Do not exceed 100mg of zinc a day. STEP 8: Take vitamin C and a bioflavonoid complex. STEP 9: Add lecithin granules or capsules to your diet. STEP 10: Make at least 50 percent of your diet raw food. STEP 11: Avoid or decrease your intake of fried foods, dairy products, sugar, chocolate and nuts.

Shampoo at least 3 times a week with a non-medicated shampoo or an anti-dandruff shampoo (depending on severity), massaging scalp gently
Three times a week, do the following: use an anti-dandruff shampoo first to clean your scalp, then rinse well. Follow with a trusted medicated shampoo like Polytar; Make sure you leave it in contact with your scalp for at least 5 minutes before rinsing
If your scalp condition does not improve within 2 weeks of this regimen, see your physician or pharmacist.

GOOD LUCK AND I HOPE THIS HELPS!!!

I used some stuff called "Selsun" i found it very handy and didnt get half as much dandruff as i used to get. However i heard that it is a VERY strong shampoo so its not a good idea to use it everyday.... maybe every other week. Hope this helps you.

Stop using shampoo for a start. Shampoo strips the hair of natural oil and often affects the scalplcausing it to become dry and flaky.
Wash you hair with Dove soap and condition.
You may also want to apply either Cider vinegar and rinse your hair or even lemon juice and rinse.
Both are quite effective in helping to reduce dandruff.

I used both Selsun Blue and Head and SHoulders and found that neither of them worked. The only thing that has ever helped, and helped the very first time, was Neutragena T-Gel shampoo. I'd almost bet that you'll have success with this. Try, what do have to lose?

the dandruff is only the symptom, the problem is in your intestines, a problem connected to your body having an excess amount of CANDIDA , look it up on the Internet, see natural food stores for solutions, you need to cleanse your body from that fungus that manifest itself as skin problems, but the source is your health, understand, in your intestines, is a living and natural mushroom organism, and its normal to have that, but if you have a bad diet, the mushroom will nourish itself and spread in your body, some people it spreads as dandruff, some as plaque , or some clogging the arteries , you see, the same protein giving heart attacks clogging the arteries, or creating plaque, creates dandruff in your hair, do inform yourself about this....."CANDIDA"
look it up and ask medical experts in your area about it.

hope it helps

Have you tried Selsun? You get this at the chemist. It's orange and smells a bit whiffy but it does work. You only need to do a course of it then return to your normal shampoo.

You have to take your rings off before you shampoo.

Hope that helps

If dandruff shampoos don't work it isn't dandruff,it is dry scalp.
Try something for dry scalp instead.
