I use a few drops of CHI Serum on my wet hair before blow drying it. Make sure it is very very dry before attempting to flat iron it. Always do small sections at a time or it will frizz up. I flat iron a small section, run a fine tooth comb thru it, then repeat. spray it with some shine spray when you are done. (I love Bio Silk, its not heavy like a lot of the others, or Bed Head's smells awesome & works well). EVeryone swears by the CHI irons, but to me, mine never worked any better than the $30 one I got at Sally's Beauty Supply. Just make sure its ceramic. Best of luck

omg i had exactly the same problem!!!!!!! now i don't!!! Ok first off i went to the hairdressers and had layers put in which thinned out my hair. Second i got vidal sassoon straightners and tresemme heat protection spray which stops my hair from going brittle and frizzy. So now when i have a shower i use different kind of shampoos but they're always ALWAYS ALWAYS along the lines of sleek, long, straight hair and frizz free. When i blow dry it i blow it down because it detracts volume and reduces frizz. Then i normally leave it about half an hour no idea why but it makes it sooooooooo much less frizzy and less volumey (is that a word?!?!). Before i straighten it i put on the heat protection spray but only a little else it goes greasy. You can do this when you blow dry as well but it doesn't make much of a difference. When i straighten it i normally use those big loose clips that hairdressers use to pin up half my hair. Then i straighten the bottom, let down a bit more, straighten that, let down a bit more, straighten that then let down the rest and straighten that. Then i get someone else to do the bits that I've missed! TA-DA!!!!

A product called Straighten Out from FX Special Effects. You can get it at walgreens, CVS, etc. You'll love it!
