Don't know. But here's our history of the number of people slaughtered in the name of Christianity:
With the fall of the Roman Empire, the librarian of Alexandria was pulled off her carriage and skinned alive. Literacy dropped. Even the Pope had to have the Bible read to him. In the first crusade, Christians killed tens of thousands of people they called "infidels". The Children's Crusade (1212) caused the deaths of nearly 50,000 children. Preachers sentenced to death and executed thousands during the Inquisition (1233-1834) for heresy and witchcraft. There were the Salem witch trials (1692) in America. The 17th Century Thirty Years War (Catholics v. protestants) wiped out tens of millions in Europe. In the Taiping Rebellion in China in the 1850's a Christian cult started a war that resulted in the slaughter of twenty million people. In the Holocaust six million Jews were murdered. Muslims and Christians in Bosnia reached a death toll of over 250,000.

Let's just consider the death toll at the hands of atheistic governments and groups in just the last century:
40-60 million by the Soviet Union...not including foreign wars.
70-100 million by Communist China
40 million as a result of WWII and the Holocaust - Nazi Germany
2-4 million - Pol Pot - Cambodia
2 million - Viet Nam - after the US left
1 million - Rwanda
1-2 million - Uganda
500000 - Chile
250000 - Philippines
2-3 million Angola
1+ million Burma
etc
etc
etc
Seems the atheists record is just as bad or worse than the religious.

If you look at history you will see there are also plenty of times people kill without having to use their religion as an excuse. I would suggest that it is not the religion, but the person who is responsible for their actions. For a person like that, they would find something else to fuel their need to dominate and bully if religion were taken out of the picture. People must take responsibility for his/her own actions and stop hiding behind causes for what he/she does and society must require it. Do not fool yourself into thinking that without religion the world would be a peaceful place.

Let see what Isiah has to say about it..."Surely the people are green grass. The green grass has dried up, the blossom has withered; but as for the word of our God, it will last to time indefinite."
Isaiah contrasts the transitoriness of man’s life with the permanence of God’s “word,” or stated purpose. Yes, “the word of our God” endures forever. When God speaks, nothing can annul his words or prevent them from being fulfilled.—Joshua 23:14.
The Bible has faced bitter opposition over the centuries, and fearless translators and others have risked their lives to preserve it. Yet, their efforts alone do not explain why it has survived. All credit for its survival must go to “the living and enduring God” and the Preserver of his Word. (1 Peter 1:23-25) Think about this: Since Jehovah has preserved his written Word, can we not trust him to fulfill the promises it contains?

If you get rid of the religions, you simply have people killing each other a bit more honestly, in the name of Greed.
It's not religion, but people. There are lots of peacefull religions, and you simply lump all religion together. Your attitude is part of what creates the anger and acrimony.
People kill because they are better than each other, are more intelligent, better genes, what have you. There will always be people ready to kill each other for any reason they can find.

Try to live in Peace and let the Religions alone. If you don't like the Religions, then do your own thing. BUT I will tell you one true thing. If you get rid of all the people who believe in God, then the only thing left is the antichrist. Your way was like Hitler's . He wanted to get rid on one of the oldest Religions-The Jewish People. Did he suceed ? NO. Proper spelling of Insane , will help you to put your brain in the right direction.

While no one is forcing anyone to believe anything. Those that do believe are having a negative effect on the world, progress, and society. So I will complain all I want... Maybe instead of complaining you would like me to engage in a worldwide campaign of lies and threats to further my no-religion agenda. Apparently that is the only thing you will respond too....

Calm down now. Reach down and pull those tight drawers out of the crack of your butt and And don't bust a blood vessel. Yes it's ok just a little scratch. Now calmly go set in the chair by the front door. We are sending someone in a white suit for you. She will have something to calm your nerves. BB
