Don't worry too much -- you have hit a natural plateau. This often happens if you have been losing steadily and sensibly for a while.

If you find the plateau lasts too long, and you just do not see any more losses after a longer period, consider the basics of weight loss which are:

Calories In = Calories Used : Weight Stays Same

Calories In exceed Calories Used : Weight Increases

Calories In less than Calories Used : Weight Decreases

Your current diet may mean your body has adapted to the quantity you are eating and there is a balance between calories eaten and those used ...so you are not losing any more.

Your body needs a new 'caloric' challenge... basically change your 'use of energy' regime by challenging your body at a different time and/or in a more demanding way that you currently do. Simply changing the times and way that you use energy (i.e. undertake some sort of 'calorie burning activity')
can 'kick start' your weight loss again.

You might also look at the current popular theories concerning 'metabolic type' and diet. You may be eating the wrong diet foods for your metabolic type which could also result in a slowing of, or no, weight loss.
Take a look at the metabolic typing 'bible' that most folks rate highly:

Diets are okay and everything, but they can decrease your metabolism, causing your body to conserve fat. What you really need is some long, slow aerobic exercise. Go for at least 12-15 minutes or more per day of walking, jogging, running, cycling, or some other kind of exercise such as these, and don't stop doing this once you get rid of the weight you want to get rid of. Another thing to keep in mind is that weight really isn’t the problem; fat is the problem. Weight and fat are NOT the same thing. Muscle actually weighs almost 7 times as much as fat. So don’t pay too much attention to your weight; instead pay attention to how thin you look and how good you feel.

diets don't work. sorry but it's true. you have to change your eating habits and make the commitment to keep those habits or else you'll put back all the weight you lost.
if you're looking to lose more weight though your best bet is to increase your exercise. try alternating aerobic and anaerobic exercise a couple times a week. lean muscle burns more calories than fat. that should help the weight come off, but it will also help you maintain a healthy weight once you achieve it. the other thing to remember is there will be times like now when you'll hit a plateau. the important thing to remember when it happens is not to give up, but just to work through it. sometimes changing your routine a little will help with that, not to mention it will help keep you from getting bored with it making it easier to stick to it

Dieting doesn't help you lose weight. Your body goes into starvation mode and RETAINS calories. People need to give up the obsession with diets. 90% of them fail and people end up fatter than before. You need to change the way you think about food.

Try Paul McKenna's book - I can make you thin. No dieting, no forbidden foods, no calorie counting.

His way has a 70% success rate - that is 60% more than any diet around.

You do need to exercises each day for 20 mins a day and morning is best really. Even if you go for a quick walk before you start your day or any thing at home would work. Good luck

The more muscle you have, the faster your metabolism. Just tone up. Running helps too. The more CV you do, the more weight you'll lose. Try Green Tea too. Buy capsules to take.

you have hit what is called a plateau, it's when your body is used to the exercise that you're doing and the diet you've undertaken.

you just need to keep at it for another couple of weeks and once you get out the other side your body will respond.

i' know i'ts really frustrating but just keep going

plenty and plenty and plenty of H20!!!!!!!!
