Muslims are part of a peaceful religion. They are no different than Christianity. There are always an extreme side of every religion. Christianity-skinheads, Islam-stereotyped terrorists,Judaism-Zionists,etc.

In my opinion, at the end of the day they're human beings, Citizens of planet earth, we all are. I just spent Christmas ina predominantly Muslim country, I'm a Christian and allot of Muslims really made an effort for me, I felt a little ignorant, because I didn't know half as much as I should have about Islam, Muslims in my eyes are people with a belief. They also have stronger family values which I sometimes feel a little jealous of. There are good people and Bad people. Its a shame the media have such a free reign, to them only bad news sells, its the media that said not all muslims are terrorists, but the majority of terrorists are muslim. The media are telling me that Muslims are a problem! But I think Muslims are a people who have had their Beliefs hi-jacked by a bad minority. Its sadly human nature thats the real problem, not Muslims.

I have come to understand that there are a wide range of Muslims who practice a wide range of Islam.

I saw a show last night about Canadian Muslim terrorists. These were men who were second generation Canadians and influenced to the Jihad. The elder Muslims who raised them (BTW, these terrorists were caught before bad stuff happened) couldn't believe they raised such children. I saw in them the same I saw in The Harri's & Klebalts (Columbine school killings) ... they love their kids, but were mortified that their kids would do such stuff. It seems that a few powerful and influential ppl are using the Koran, and Internet and targeting men between the ages of 16-24 for purposes of terrorism. And many are "Born- again Islams" focusing on specific parts of a book rather than the totality of the book.

Scary yes ... I do hope that those manipulating this are recovered by more powerful Muslims ... I guess studying Charles Mansion ... the manipulation tactics are very similar. Mob-mentality is a name for it ... and it is a problem that if uncheck will be more damaging to non-violent Muslims.

I'm striving not to judge all Muslims & Islam based on this and praying that the remaining Muslim population will partake in fixing problems of religious manipulation for the purposes of terror. After all, it was the Christians who mainly took down Hitler (who claimed to be Christian); and in this my hopes are placed to help Muslims to help themselves.

I think there are a whole lot of dirty, rotten, scoundrels who have ruined it for the rest of you.

Why do the biggest threats to world security right now have claims to the religion of Islam? I have to wonder what it is about that religion that makes so many so violent.

Islam calls itself the religion of peace, but I see no evidence of that. I England, they had to rescue one Muslim from other Muslims because the one had been in the British army during the war in Iraq. They had intended to behead him, film it, and put it on the Internet all in the name of the religion of peace.

I am sorry, but actions speak louder than words and I have seen far too many examples that the religion of peace really does not want peace until all have been subjugated to their will. Even then, I am not sure there would be peace as there is a huge amount of fighting between different factions even within the Islamic religion.

I babysit for a Muslim family and they are just like any other--sometimes happy, sometimes not, generous, stingy, imperfect, divinely human. I don't even think of their religion unless they stay for dinner and I try to do a 'generic' prayer.
It's ridiculous to judge anyone by another person of their faith, nationality, or religion--ie a terrorist. What if all us Christians were judged by Timothy McVay or Jeffrey Dahmer, both of whom were Christian?
It's important to remember that stereotyping people according to their religion is what lead to the horrors committed by Hitler.

I tend not to think about "Muslims," or "Christians" or "Jews." I generally think of people I know who might be adherents to these or other faiths.

I think that the minute we begin thinking of people in a "corporate" sense we lose sight of them as individuals, and that is rather a mistake because individuals are usually very much like me and you.

Muslim adhere to a state religion that fosters violence. While Muslims may be peaceful in their personal lives, they will go along with anything their state religious leaders say, including violence against innocents. That is my opinion so far.

I like the peaceful ones, but not the people who twist the religion to fit their crazy needs. My boyfriend is a Muslim and I'm learning more about the religion and I like it.
