Some of the marks are holes, but there are also tiny little tears that I hope to be able to re-seal. Are there any products that I can apply?

I don't know about that. But I do not, if you want to have your cat and your couch, perhaps you should but Soft Claws. They are rubber nail caps, the claws go inside them and they only have to be changed once every few weeks. they come in lots of colors and sizes! That way your furniture stays nice. And your cat can still be a cat!

I saw an ad for a product that re-seals and fixes damaged leather. I cannot recall exactly but I think its called "Liquid Leather" and is applied to the spots you want to repair. We were going to get some becuase we also have leather sofa and armchair... but thankfully, I've managed to train my cats to not come near these items. Maybe if you look in the internet and type in "liquid leather" or leather repair."

You can find leather & vinyl repair products at most auto-parts stores.

For the cat, you might want to try softpaws nail caps: http://www.softpaws.com

http://www.catscratching.com has great info on how to train a cat to scratch where you want it to, and leave the furniture alone.
