not especially, do you trust him? cold sores can lie dormant in your system for years and years and only come out with exposure to sunlight or through stress or general poor health.

they can be really contagious tho, so you're right to not kiss at the mo.

the fact that you think you might be worried however, now that is somethign else in this, would it have crossed your mind to 'be worrried that he had cheated' if you had a trusting relationship? is the real issue here that you're not sure you can trust him?.

A cold sore is in fact a strain of HERPES. They are passed on by contact, ie kissing. It would be advisible to avoid kissing until at least 5 day after it has cleared up.

cold sores are spread by the herpes simplex virus.
They are extremely catching and once you have had one the virus lives within your nevrous system and you will have it for life.It is treatable but not curable, you will continue to have outbreaks of cold sores.
Cold sores are pus filled blisters which eventually scab and clear up.

You're totally right not to kiss him.

The herpes virus can also be passed on via oral sex to your genitals causing outbreaks of blisters "down there" these also are with you for life.
I'd stay well away until his sores have cleared up.
Tell him to pop to the chemist and buy some zovirax. Or he could try cold sore plasters which are medicated to clear the blisters but also provide a barrier keeping you a little bit safer.

Cold sores are only contagious when he has one, so it probably best to avoid that, particularly if you have an open wound on your mouth. You could look into treatments that can stop them as soon as he feels the tingling sign that it's on its way. Something like Zovirax (Acyclovir).

Cold sores are recurring though. Once you've had one, you'll keep gettin them. So you should probabaly think how big a factor they are in your relationship, as this will be something you will have to keep dealing with.

Cold sores are a form of herpes (not sexually transmitted though) the are very infectious and if you kiss him you are more than likely to catch it as well.Wait till it clears up.You can get creams from the chemist to treat them.

No! dnt be worried! If you have no reason at all to doubt him, then he's done nothing.
Cold sores are mainly triggered by cold, winter air or stress. But they are infectious so if you kiss him then you might get one.

It's Herpes Simplex One. And yes, you can get a cold sore too if his is open and oozing and you have a cut on your mouth.

If you ever had Chicken Pox, you too are susceptible to the virus. For most of us it lies dormant in our bodies. But as we age, it comes back as Shingles.
