Penn Foster you can do online, by phone, or by mail. The American School you can do by mail, but I think that they are also trying to set up online.

Veritas Academy offers an online literature class on Webex called Omnibus. We go through books, some modern, some ancient. Here's a list of books we have read so far:

Genesis
Exodus
Samuel 1-2
Kings 1-2
The Odyssey by Homer
The Histories by Herodotus
Orestia by Aeschylus
Plutarch's Lives by Plutarch
Theban Trilogy by Sophocles
The Last Days of Socrates by Plato
Livy
Luke
Acts
The Aenid by Virgil
Julius Caesar by Shakespeare
The Twelve Caesars
Revelation

The class is for grades 7 and up. It is VERY rigorous.

Check out www.americanhomeschoolingassociation.org for some links. There are a lot of websites with curriculum - some where you have to come up with your own plan and some that lay out all the curriculum for you. Many are Christian-based. Most states have a home school association; you should check with them too. Different states have different requirements for curriculum or testing. There are also independent study courses that give high school credit, but very expensive. You could also check on your public school district website - Utah offers an electronic high school for free and it's done all through the Internet. One curriculum resource that I use in Utah is www.ldfr.com. They don't lay out the curriculum for you, but they have a lot of good curriculum with good information about age or grade appropriateness - if you don't mind, they are LDS-based. But there are alot of other websites out there, too numerous to list - the best thing to do is to do Internet searches.
