The Constitution gives you the right to a "speedy trial." In most states this is considered by law 30 days for misdemeanors or 90 days.for felonies. Most accused get screwed out of that right when the cops, prosecutors, or hungry court appointed attorneys bullcrap them into waiving the right... NEVER waive your right to a speedy trial. They NEVER advise you of that right in your Miranda.

It all depends on the case loads of the DAs and Judges.
