My sister told me she's pregnant today and I am happy for her. How can I support her all throughout the pregnancy? Even before she got pregnant, she was very emotional. She's happy also, but what are some things I could do for her just to be nice for her and her unborn baby?

You are a great sister to be concerned about your sister. Pregnancy is a long journey that she will not want to endure alone. By all means drop by her home and offer to clean her house.(laundry, dishes, floors, etc.) With all the nausea and sleepiness she'll experience she won't be in the mood to do none of these things. Rubbing her feet and massaging her back is also a good idea. It helped me to talk about things with my sister when I was pregnant. The happiness, anxiety, and anticpation helped me to endure those long months. Its especially important to be prepared for her when the baby gets here. If this is her first, she will be in total shock on how things are. Lack of sleep and the potential of post partum despression.(this too i also experienced) It won't be easy she will need all the love and support she can get. And I'm sure your'e just the right person to do that! Good Lucks and Congrats Auntie!

How sweet of you to think about your sister. It is a emotional time. I have 2 babies myself. Just be there for her. Take her out for ice cream. If she gets morning sickness, bring her some Vernor's and crackers. It is the little things that count! I bough my friend some new body wash and a foot scrub (under $5 total) and she LOVED it! People are always getting the baby stuff...the mom needs to be papered too!

After that Lil bundle of joy is born, you can help by making meals, helping with cleaning, etc.

Congrats, Auntie!!

U sound like a great sister. Go shopping for baby clothes, help decorate the baby room, go to craft classes together and make baby stuff. Do water aerobics together its the best form of exercise when your pregnant.

Be there when she's giving birth. Then tell her the baby is beautiful even if it isn't
