Usually chili or chicken corn chowder would be my favorite way to chase the cold away! Of course, something that's been in the oven for a while does the trick too, like meatloaf or a nice tuna casserole. And hot chocolate, there's no other drink that will do.

Homemade vegetable soup and a loaf of bread right out of the oven (or breadmaker) are my two favorite foods for when the weather is cold.

Although the person who said tomato soup and grilled cheese is spot on, too. Soup's always a good meal on a cold day.

Tomato soup & a grilled cheese sandwich is my favorite cold-weather meal. It's what my Mom would give us when we could come in from playing when school was closed for snow.

a nice hot pizza. to drink, hot chocolate. if you have any, stick a Hershey's kiss (or some kind of chocolate) in the bottom of the cup before you pour the packet of hot chocolate mix in. then when ready pour the hot water into the cup and stir like to you would do. the kiss will melt as you stir. it'll add a much creamery taste that way.

Nice hot pumpkin soup or similar. Hot and thick with freshly baked bread (or brought from a bakery). And hot chocolate made with real chocolate not the powder stuff.
Hot scones are also good as a breakfast/brunch/snack thing.
Its not sounding too good as it is the middle of summer for me at the mo....

it has been snowing here all day, i made some crock pot easy chili. we are also having salad and kings hawaiian rolls. {love those things}, but sometimes i make chicken noodle soup, {home made} or beaf stew, any hearty stew or soup is great for cold wintery days!
