I would like to put baskets in the bathroom at a wedding. I have a few ideas, (nail file, gum, hand lotion, etc.) But has anyone seen something really unique and cute in a basket? Any ideas would be great. I am looking for mens and womens bathroom ideas. Any help would be great.

I even have seen this at many formal activities and wedding ceremony coated.i myself like the assumption and that i do no longer think of it would cost that lots. this is intense-high quality while they provide tampons and pads interior the basket because of the fact i won't be able to help you be attentive to the way many circumstances my era develop into loopy while i develop right into a sprint woman and it develop into intense-high quality to have this so i did no longer might desire to invite anybody. For the adult men's bathing room some intense-high quality hand towels could be superb. i do no longer think of which you may desire to spend any greater than $20 perhaps $30 with the two bogs. do no longer enable it rigidity you out basically have final min. stuff in there like the indoors maximum stuff for the girls and intense-high quality little towels or a sprint tray with those long hand towels folded and placed in them and have a sprint bog down for the grimy towels. good success.

I seen these cute soaps that look like rosebuds at www.customweddingsolutions.com. They are pretty cheap and very realistic looking. They also have soaps that look like fall leaves if you are having a fall wedding.

They have other cute stuff you might be able to use as well. Check out their favors page. Or to just see the soaps go here: http://customweddingsolutions.com/soothingscents.html

A basket of rose petals would be nice too.

Does each person get one, or just baskets in general in the public bathroom?

If it's a public bathroom then for the men you could do different colognes (you can get mini bottles of all your favorite fragrances, they're about $6.00 each). Breath mints, those little business cards saying "Hi I'm ____ we met at the such and such wedding" and they have a place for a phone number (those always crack me up), hair spray or gel, hand sanitizers.

Good luck, I can't wait to see all the answers.

I Did this at my own Wedding!! I can't remeber what exactly I put in mine but here's some Ideas:
-breath mints and breath strips
-individually wrapped toothpicks
-small Band-aids
-tablet antacids like Tums
-safety pins
-individual packets of an OTC pain reliever like Advil or Excedrin
-pocket-packs of tissues
-a few matchbooks
-travel bottle of hand sanitizer
-Shout wipes or other stain-remover wipes such as Tide pen
-a few new AA batteries
-a small pair of scissors
You can add these additional items to the ladies basket if you wish:
-a travel-sized hair spray
-a few tampons and pads
-a bottle of clear nail polish
-hand lotion
-bobby pins
-a couple of emery boards
-a packet of replacement earring backs
Be discreet and stick the ladies unmentionables in the back. Don't obscure them completely, but just let them peek out so they are noticeable but not prominent.
You could just toss everything in there but you might as well make sure that the items are invitingly arranged. Otherwise, small stuff might get pushed to the bottom or the back and go unnoticed in a moment of need. Layer the big items (the tissues, the hair spray, etc.) in the back, and then tuck the smaller items in around them on top and in the front.
Remember what people do instantly upon reaching the reception, they go to the bathroom to take advantage of the few minutes of free time. Put the baskets in the care of a family member, friend or other member of the house party who is not in the actual wedding ,you need someone who is going straight to the reception venue, not sticking around for group pictures after the ceremony. Ideally, he or she is the other half of a co-ed couple who is travelling together (so that both bathrooms can be entered without anyone looking at anyone else funny). Ask them to place the baskets in a convenient yet inobtrusive place in the restroom; if there is a lounge area with a separate counter, that's ideal, but usually it has to be on the bank of sinks somewhere.
My suggestion would be go a Craft store ie: micheals Craft Canada or som place that sells ribbons baskets ect
get two similar wicker baskets, one smaller than the other (the mens' basket won't need to hold as much).
If the baskets have a nice finish already, you can skip this step: spray-paint them in a color that matches with the colors of your wedding or just plane white with a glossy finish paint like Krylon. Two coats is fine, and one can will cover both nicely.
line both baskets with fabric. It not only looks nice, it keeps smaller items from falling out through the bottom. With a hot glue gun and the fabric shiny side out, go around and tuck the fabric under, then glue it to the inner edge of the basket -- no sewing needed
The mens' basket is usually fine with just the fabric lining. On the ladies' basket, I usually add some other adornment -- like a floofy bow of wired ribbon on one side, or strings of pearl beads wrapped around the handle so it looks pretty!
Hope that helps
Congratulations and best wishes to you and your future partner

My cater suggested-
Candy, gum, hairspray, spray on deodorant, mints, cheap combs, hand lotion, spray perfume, nail file, safety pins.... all kinds of stuff.

One thing she did tell me after 50 years of catering is men don't get the basket idea and most of them pocket the stuff thinking it's free but don't' understand the sharing idea. She suggested just gum and candy for them.

a great thing for the women's room is static spray, hair spray and you could put some mints in as well. And one of those 'stain stick' pens is a cool idea too, if anyone spills at dinner.
