I see Scientology as a cult based on the teachings of a science-fiction novelist. There is a lot more I can say about what I think but I actually want to know what you think.

Scientology does have some merits, However, similar to Buddha, it does not recognize a personal God. Without the Father concept, you end up with either philosophy or science. You need a personal God to complete the truth.. Jesus is the way towards knowing that personal God.

The problem with Scientology is that it's fictional. It's not a real religion. It's just a joke.

I agree with you that Scientology is a cult. I find many things disturbing about this pseudoreligion, but I will list the top few here:
1. Psychology is considered "evil"
2. Women are expected to be silent during the birth of their child
3. Breastfeeding is forbidden
4. Followers are told to have no contact with people who do not believe or support their religion
5. Their use of brainwashing, mind control
6. They severely pressure their followers to make significant contributions $$$
7. Last but not least...Tom Cruise!

Everything is wrong with Scientology. It's a cult. It's dangerous. Just ask Lisa McPhearson. Oops, they killed her, so you can't. They are a not-so-cleverly crafted scam that swindles money from gullible people. They attack and sue anyone who speaks out against them. They tell people that Scientology and Christianity are compatible (they aren't, but they don't let you in on that secret until you've paid thousands of dollars for classes). They try to isolate people from their friends and family. Nothing good can come from Scientology.

What's wrong with it? Try the fact it's completely false and based off of a man who wrote sci-fi! It became a "religion" but really it's more accurately described as a cult!

Absolutely nothing is wrong with Scientology.
What wrong with you??
How you "see" it , what you assume or "think" about it doesn't change the reality of what it acutally is.
Same as if you call some one names or try to ridicule them
or spread nasty rumours about them. It doesn't make the person beome those things or do those things.

Scientology is still a new religion that continues to grow and expand and help mankind regardless of what you or anyone else "thinks" it is or isn't.

Seems to me you are just doing a survey of this small forum
to drum up some agreement just incase you find disagreement
when you start spouting all the "nasty things" you really want to say about it.

Don't be such a chicken. Go ahead , knock yourself out!! The worst that can happen is some one will quite rightly report you.
Your in no real danger here.
The battle for religious freedom has already been fought and won by Scientologists for Scientology.

Like I said it makes absolutely no difference.

Everything.

Scientology is sci/fi that a bunch of idiots turned into a religion.

It's a "religion" created by a renowned Sci-Fi writer, and people take it seriously. L. Ron Hubbard described in words how he thought it would be neat to create a fake religion, and then he did it....and then dumb@sses followed. It's a "religion" that requires you to pay money to "worship" and to recruit others to pay money.
