Hi--first, just FYI, lager is one of the two main categories of beer, the other being ale. Underneath ales and lagers are many sub-styles (ales have far more sub-styles than lagers). The main difference is that ales are top-fermenting (meaning they ferment at higher temperatures, the yeast rises to the top) and lagers are bottom-fermenting.

Examples of lager substyles include pilseners and Oktoberfest beers. Ale substyles include pale ales, stouts, porters, ESBs (bitters), etc.

Leaving aside that bit of beer geekery: Yuengling is a lager and has more flavor than most American lagers (such as those made by Bud, Miller, and Coors). If you want to switch it up, but without too much of a palate shock, you might try Bass Ale, which is an English pale ale that is available all over the country (I assume you're in the USA). It's a bit more flavorful than Yuengling and just slightly darker in color. Alternatively, a nice flavorful American lager that's widely available is Samuel Adams Boston Lager. It's a bit lighter in color than Yuengling but has more of the hops flavor. If you like either of those, you'll find there is a world of well-made beer out there, and there is *tons* of great beer being brewed in the U.S. today. I'd be happy to recommend some beers that are local to you if you're interested.

The question of "the best" beer out there is impossible to answer since taste is so subjective. I'd say try as many as you can, because well-made beer is a bit of an acquired taste. It's worth acquiring though; there's more great beer out there than you can taste in a lifetime, but it sure is fun trying.

I'm a fan of Yuengling myself, and my mother is Canadian, eh?

You might enjoy LaBatt's Blue, I far prefer that to Molson products.

I really like Blue Moon, but obey Man Law---no fruit. Some people like to serve it with an orange slice in it. Quite a waste.

Franziskaner weiss, from Munich, is spectacular. Its available in the States. At least, its available in Wisconsin. If you like the darker biers, try Franziskaner Dunkelweiss. You won't be disappointed.
Also, Red Stripe from Jamaica is quite good.

You sound too stupid to drink beer. And lager is a type of beer.
