Don't get red roses, it shows absolutely no imagination whatsoever. Chose something that is a treat for her, something luxurious that she would never treat herself to. My best ever was a set of black silk underwear; French knickers, camisole, suspender belt and stockings. It was beautiful and not at all something I would have bought. Plus we had loads of fun putting it on and then taking it off again...

How about cooking a meal for the two of you, put lots of candles around and find the perfect card, ideally one that doesn't just say i love you but one that says how you feel. If you can't find the right verse in the card go on the poetry web sites and find something there. The best things in life really are free, we don't all want expensive gifts we just want to be shown that we're a special part of our mans life.

Jhon c why fly her to Paris then give her a diamond bracelet or similar jewellery during the flight .Think of her reaction in among the clouds she will think she has found no 9!Good luck to you both.
