There's really a lot of different feelings that can go through a woman's mind when someone looks at her.
I will only speak for myself though.
When I used to work at Wal-Mart men would constantly compliment me and while they were generally considerate, some of them were down right creepy. I've never seen bolder men than I had seen at Wal-Mart.
The ones that are welcome are the men who are respectful and tactful in their compliments. I once had a man tell me, "Ma'am, excuse me if I am being disrespectful, but I mean this in the most positive and meaningful way. You honestly are the most beautiful woman I have ever seen. If no one has told you this, then I am sorry I had to be the first." He nodded his head and walked away... there were no strange stares or unwarranted touches. He said his piece and left me to smile.
There are then the ones who are make their compliments very akward. A man once pulled his wife out of line, brought her to me and said, "Honey! Isn't this girl the most beautiful thing you ever did see? She's just so pretty!" The wife then proceeded to smile slightly and shoot me a dirty look.
Lastly, there are the creepy men who make me feel as if my clothes are falling right off of my body. While many men think the strong approach is the most alluring, it is actually the most disgusting to me. I've had men stroke my arm, touch my hair, touch my face, whisper to me, and stare at me insanely too long... and these were all strangers. I do not think these men understand that when they do that I feel extremely unguarded and vulnerable. Being only 5'3" I cannot defend myself as well as I'd like and for them to come at me with such lustful and unwanted touches makes me feel incredibly unsafe. I do not know who is a rapist, a kidnapper, a stalker... and for them to come at me that way only make me more uncomfortable.

Depends on the guy. Some guys, I'm flattered. Usually those are the ones who are trying to be subtle. Some guys just make me feel like I need to take a shower. They just give a creepy vibe. But in general, I'm flattered when a nice guy checks me out.

I have no problem what so ever being checked out by men or women. No I am not gay, but hey everyone can choose there own preference and if men think I am hot then cool beans. It can help to boost your esteem also.

I love it when a man is checking me out but it can be imbaressing sometimes to so i would say if he is checking me out without making a scene then I am all for it
Love it when they make eye contact after checking me out kinda like to see the look on there face when they have been caught lol

Its me again dude lol i just thought it was talking about also women checking out dudes but i guess not so lol but im broke point wise so im gonna answer any ways and i feel proud lol im really short, small, but I worked my body so im like the 7th strongest in my grade and im also the 3rd shortest in my high school P.S. 10th grade

It's flattering if done right. If a guy makes noises like whistling or weird things like that then it's just dumb and no longer flattering. But seeing that wandering eye come across you actually helps the self-esteem.

As long as they are not doing it in a perverted way. I do like to get checked out it's kinda flattering but just as long as its in a respectful way and not in a creepy way lol

I guess it depend how are they checking them out...if it is gentle and shows interests, or only wondering on their beauty sure they are happy... If it is as like a play doll... not sure that makes them too excited...

It totally depends on who is doing the checking out. If the other person is attractive (or not creapy) then it is flattering to know that somebody finds you "eye candy"!

really depends on what kinda looks you give them. when boys stare at me in a nice way and tell me that i am pretty i get happy. if they say something stupid like whats good with you and me i get pissed off. so like when u see a girl and wanna check them out do it the right way!
