ask the parents what they'd like you to make. normally parents will even leave you what they want you to make. if not, I'd stick with sandwiches or something simple like that.

Check the cabinets and fridge, if you can find a can of green beans, box of mac and cheese, and hot dogs you have a complete meal.
It is easy bring hot dogs to boil heat the beans and the directions for the mac and cheese are basic and on the box.
Tip for you as a sitter call the mom ask what you were supposed to do about dinner.
If the mom was supposed to have been home by now.
If the mom wasn't than she should have let you know what to do about dinner and made sure you were capable of taking care of it before leaving you in charge.
Parents like to know the sitter is thoughtful enough to ask for contingency plans shows they can handle situations with responsibility.
Or call your own mom.

Macaroni and cheese works for most kids, and the directions for making it is simple and on the box. If the kids are over 2, you can throw some hot dog slices in it.

Ask the parents what they have and what you should make. If you want to bring something I'd bring hot pockets. their super easy and go in the microwave for a couple minutes. or put a frozen pizza in the oven. or just make sandwiches and have chips with them. good luck!

Steal a car and go get some take out. It's what my babysitter used to do. Or do what the others said. Probably the better choice.

Pancakes and eggs, with fresh or canned fruit on the side. Kids love it when you take a pancake, put some fruit on it, drizzle on a little syrup or honey and maybe some cinnamon, and roll it up for them to eat.
