Persians, by nature, can be a bit snotty. Any cat can be good with kids if it was raised around small children.

I have had both persians and children and they dont mix. Persians are more of a lazy, lounge around cat and they dont seem too impressed with children and loud households. Just adopt a normal kitty from your local shelter..they are more outgoing than persians and more suited for children from my past experience.
