I guess it depends. As it stands alone, not really, but if you were to add to it; like: You idiot, God is fake. then yes, but if you were to say: In my opinion, God is fake, then no.

It just so happens to be that the tooth fairy is known to be a parent or another person going into the room and putting money under the pillow. So it's not the same. There is no person acting as God, going around doing miracles, while the religous sleep etc.

I would hope that you could see the difference between the importance of God in someone's life, versus the existence of the Tooth Fairy.

I wouldn't say that it is disrespectful, if that is your view. The word 'fake' is a little lame, however. Saying God doesn't exist is more appropriate. And if that is your true belief, then you are entitled to it. Just don't taunt people with this statement, or use it as a weapon. We are all open to feeling and thinking whatever we choose...just don't criticize others for their beliefs...

What a silly question.
Is the tooth fairy in control of everything? Is the tooth fairy the Creator of the world and the Savior of the world? No. The tooth fairy has no comparison to God, and obviously does not exist, just like santa and the easter bunny---the world made these things up and now uses God as the same thing- when God is the ONLY God who exists. The one who denies God is the one who will not inherit the kingdom of heaven, and will be judged accordingly.

Matthew 10:33
but whoever denies me before men, I also will deny before my Father who is in heaven.

1 John 2:22
Who is the liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, he who denies the Father and the Son.

1 John 2:23
No one who denies the Son has the Father. Whoever confesses the Son has the Father also.

This is a moot question.

The latest concept of God is not a myth, it is a theory. We are called to seek out and understand the God consciousness in the universe (forget about the mythology of scripture). It is a very long search and the data acquired along the way is so vast that it is not verifiable with other human beings. That also means that faith in God is a completely personal matter.

If your life consists only of hating or simply attacking theists, then you are wasting your life away. The rest of us are not, we are learning.

I am a believer and I do not find your opinion disrespectful. What I find disrespectful is forcing your opinions on me through the law. Do you do that? Christians try to do that, don't they!

Dear Black Athiest, this goes back to the original question, "why belive in Jesus and not the spaghetti Monster question.

The answer is that we have evidence in History and science that God exist, we have evidence that he has a hand in Human affairs. The toothfairy/santaclause argument in falacious, because, #1, these stories were designed as fables, they were meant for the entertainment of Children and have no eveidence to corroborate the, The writings concerning Jesus/God's existence exhibit an historical, cultural, religious, and political context with verifiable names, events, and places being an integral part of the record of that context and reality. Santa Claus/toothfairy stories do not contain any such integral contextualization exceptfor example to state that there is a north pole and that there are cities and countries where Santa visits at night. For an atheist to reject Jesus'/Gods existence based on arguments found against Santa Claus/toothfairy demonstrates the inability for the atheist to distinguish between historical verifiable documents and known constructed children's' stories.

Secondly, The Characters Santa Clause, and the Flying spaghetti Monster will not and cannot reveal themselves, but in contrast, Jesus/God's existence is in part uniuque, because God has revealed himself to mankind and will reveal himself, to all who will repent (turnf rom sin) and trust in Him. I was once very cynical toward the idea of God and Jesus and the BIble, I was very skeptical of claims that a "god"existed who would reveal himself, to anyone, I thought it was simply a delusion in the minds of those who had been brainwashed in Church. I persited in this View, until God did speak to me through his word with a very clear message. The message was Galatians 1:6-9 ": ”I am astonished you are so quickly removed from the Gospel you have heard to another, apparently there are some who have confused you and perverted the Gospel of Christ, but if any man preach unto you any other, then let them be eternally Condemned.” This was shocking to me! After all, I didnt belive in God or the BIble! Nevertheless, this caused me to re-examine my own cynicysm, and I Challenged the promise of God to save me and grant me everlasting life. I looked into the light of Gods Law (ten Commandments). God hates lying, stealing, blapshemy, adultery fornication, and covetousness ect. i was very guilty of these, and understood that the penalty for sin is death and Hell, two places I would have neevr considered to even be real! Once I understood my sin, I understood why Christ died, I broke the Law, and Jesus paid my fine, he graciously took the penalty i deserved, even though I rebeled against him and called him a blatant fairy tell. I then repented (turned from sin) and placed my faith and trust in HIm as he commanded, and the Moment i did, it was as if scales had fallen from my eyes! my Blinded eyes were opened unot eternal life , I have been forgiven, and changed and made a new creature in Christ. I am now a follower and advocate of the message of Salvation. Im glad, that I was able to overcome my pride, because it was my pride that kept me from God and his plan of salvation. Please, Do not Let pride keep you from Christ, because "pride comes before the fall." Repent and trust in Jesus today.
God Bless
Apsotle
