I hesitate to say yes or no for sure because it will depend on the interpretation of Can. 874 §2 - it could mean that the person has to be a baptized Christian. Then again, it might maybe be possible as long as the other sponsor is a practicing Roman Catholic in good standing.

Well, when it comes to religion, the god parent should be willing to take the child to a Catholic church for answers to spiritual questions, and allow them to be brought up in the Catholic faith. Otherwise, I don't see a problem why it couldn't work.
