P. THOMAS - W 43 (KO's 34) TF 51 - W pct 84% - KO pct 67% - wins over Weaver, "Bonecrusher" Smith, Witherspoon and Tillis - KO'ed by Tyson, Holyfield, Bowe and Morrison

TATE - W 34 (KO's 23) TF 37 - W pct 91% - KO pct 62% - wins over Bobick, Knoetzee and Coetzee - KO'ed by Bobick and Weaver

Another fight between 2 average champions. In this bout Tate tries to box and Thomas will pressure Tate throughout. I see Tate running out of gas like he did on the Weaver fighter. Thomas by a 13 rd KO.

I liked Big John Tate. He was a pretty good fighter with a good jab. Unfortunately he will be remembered for being knocked out cold after winning nearly every round vs Mike Weaver in the 15th round and losing the championship. Pinklon Thomas was a pretty good fighter too with some good skills. I believe that John wins a close 15 round decision in this one.

This is and ugly fight as much as I hate this fight I would take Pinklon over B ig John Tate Big John was just soft and big and Pinklon was just a straight ahead swinger that is two notches below a slugger which is a good thing I would not pay a dime to see this fight well no I,m not going to go there rest in peace Big John

Thomas a natural righty who fought southpaw and had a great jab, Tate a good technical boxer who had problems staying in shape, I take Pinklon by late KO or UD.

Provided we can stay awake during a 15 round dance between two big bums in heavyweight history, it would be a boring DRAW!
