lowering your body fat percentage will help, that's about the only thing, but you shouldn't let it bother you that much. lots of women get it, just like stretchmarks, it's a part of womanhood. at least you don't have to worry about going bald.

Cellulite is caused by two things, 1) Fatty tissue and 2) Connective tissue.

The first can be taken care of primarily by diet and working out. Drink your fair share of water, don't eat too much and work out to maintain your metabolism. Squats are especially good for leg and butt cellulite....so yes this will substantially reduce the cellulite.

The second is more problematic and gets worse as you age because collagen is not regenerated so the tissue becomes less elastic and of course most people gain weight as they age because of a less active life style and a drop in metabolism.

There are treatments out there that help with both the fatty tissue and the connective tissue, especially on a short term basis for your Holiday. The treatments reduce the fat and provide elasticity to the connective tissue. Some of their names include Mesotherapy, Velasmooth and Endermologie.

I would go to www.HealthySkinPortal.com to find a provider that may be able to offer you a solution.

Cellulite occurs when the that specific area's fat molecules bunch together, often caused by slow blood flow.

One true blue way of ridding the area of cellulite is to vigorously massage area everyday twice a day. Then apply a cream specifically made for smoothing cellulite after massage. This comes with a price though. Bruising and pain can occur. To take it a step father, start taking a multi-vitamin. Although I do not know the specific properties involved, certain nutrients have sped up the process of smoothing cellulite. Excise also helps the muscles in the area to take more of a form (although bulking up does not smooth the thighs).

I have read that used (brewed) coffee grounds applied to the cellulite and covered with plastic wrap for half hour will lessen it's appearance temporarily. The caffeine in the coffee is what does it. Don't waste your money on over the counter fixes, they don't work. Keep excercising, that is your best defense.

cellulite is just subcutaneous fat that pushes up on the top layer of the dermis, that's what causes the dimpling effect. its regular body fat nothing special about it. it's more common in caucasian women then in the other races so it's genetic.

if you want to get rid of it you need to reduce your body fat percentage until it's gone.
