No, its been proven that dilation will not damage your eyes, even if constantly dilated. Forget all the myths you have heard about drugs causing holes in your spine and damage to eyes. This has been proven time and time again. Read more about this on the web. I got my information from tests that were performed in my field of study psychology.

Any eye drop that dilates the eye usually also temporarily paralyses the eye muscles which help us in reading and near work. So the person will feel glare, will have difficulty in night driving and any sort of near work. the same effect occurs if one takes any drug that affects the pupil and results in dilatation.

Yes - women used to use extract of deadly nightshade as eyedrops - it was called belladonna (beautiful woman). This made the pupils expand, which gives the impression of sexual attraction (when we are attracted to someone, our pupils expand - don't know why). Over time these women caused a lot of damage to their eyes and some went blind.

No. That's why people who are high eyelids droop. Your body generally knows what to do without thinking about it. Eye doctors dilate your eyes as part of some routine exams.

Pray and take him to other doctors. My son had a bad strep thoart which turned into scarlet fever and I had took him to the 2 diff. ER's and my doctors office they said he was fine, just a common cold. Three days later he couldn't move or cry cause he was in so much pain. I rushed to the ER 1 and 1/2 hours from my house and they told me he had a case of Scarlet fever. I always get second opinions.

just my opinion...but i think having dilated pupils would increase the chances of damaging your eyes. aaargh bright lights!

in the same vien i think you can slouch so much when your stoned that you can damage your back.

Also ( i think) you can grind your teeth so much on pills that you damage them.

Just a thought!
