Has then for a Eye Infection.

Always a massive struggle - as she hates anything near or in her eyes.

She always screams & squirms sooo much. So i can't put them in.

How can we hold her still ??

You can, it's hard, but you can. Lay her on her back and have someone hold her little body down and her head still. You the just pull the eye open and drop them in.

remember this though, I'd be curious if she has issues with eye drops later in life from the perceived trauma of this. It's so interesting...

Go to a compouding pharmacy and they should be able to make an ointment instead. Get the ointment around the eye (particularly the corner) and it will slowly work it's way into the eye, it may also work better that way.

Go during business hours as likely they will need to call for a new prescription. If it isn't prescription drops a compounding pharmacy can still help you.

This is going to sound horrible! But you have to kneel over her, basically straddling him, with her head between your knees and her arms to her sides so that your legs can hold her arms down then you have both hand to get the drops in his eyes. I had a son that had eye surgery at 2 1/2 for lazy eye and we had to do drops for a couple of months. It is not the easiest thing to do and you do feel like you are sitting on them but it has to be done and then there is less of a chance of you getting pink eye. Don't forget to wash your hands!!! GOOD LUCK!!

I relate with her, I used to freak when doctors would try to put drops in my eyes (that was only a few years ago!) lol What I would recommend is showing her how to put the drops in herself, although she may be too young for that. Otherwise, give her a cookie or a present after she lets you put the drops in. Distract her by turning the TV on or by putting on music. The more you try to force her, the more she will struggle.

My son had an infection and we had to do this too. It was awful, we had to lay him down and then my husband, sister or friend would kindof lay on his body and hold his head still while I put the drops in. The one time I had to do it myself did not go very well. I will tell you this though, he never rubs anything into or near his eyes, he is afraid of having to get drops again.

the least difficult thank you to do this's together as her head is tilted lower back together with her eyes closed drop the attention drops in the indoors corner of lid. be certain she opens eyes together as head remains tilted lower back and it will fall inher eyes. The greater durable ingredient to do would be convincing her to no longer rub the drugs out. in line with threat getting her help in the approach will supply her a splash feeling of administration. Six is sufficiently previous to readon with so supply her the possibility to teach you what a great female she is .

Try it when she's sleeping. Or have her pretend to sleep: tell her to lie down and close her eyes, put the drops on the inner corners of her eyes and have her blink a couple of times to get them in there. Follow it with a reward.
