After reading the secret life of plants, I believe it is true. but it was written in the 60s or 70s and I want to know if there is modern information about talking, feeling plants.

I always thought people who spoke and sang to their plants were nuts, but I once watched an episode of Mythbusters that blew me away.
They did various tests on whether or not plants were able to respond to different energy vibes, emotions, and vocal wave lengths of people. They measured the amount of energy that the plant put out each time a person changed one of these vibes/emotions.
It turns out, plants REALLY CAN SENSE THE ENERGY AROUND THEM!
One of the men would get insanely upset and direct that energy towards the plant. Sometimes he would scream and yell at it as well and the plants responded by putting out lower energy.
On the other hand, when the man would direct positive energy towards the plant and woo and sing to it, the plant would put out a higher energy frequency.
Now, I do not believe that the plants will actually talk to people... perhaps they'll blow in the wind and look as if they're waving, but talking is a bit extreme.

I think that the plants my neighbor grows, Tall, 5 leaf looking things must talk. He talks to them.

i just saw a show on this the other day. the show said that plants can feel things, and react when they are slapped but i dont think they can talk...

i dont think they can talk. but one time, when i was soooooo bored, i heard my science fair project(a plant) talking to another plant(i had 3) i was so freaked out. so then i, for no reason, watered them and messed up my project.

well, if you mean - they communicate - yes, they do, but non-verbally...
when you say "they talk", it's a metaphor...
they communicate, you mean...of course they do, like any other living organism...
they emit energy, because they are alive...one can feel that energy : whether it's positive or negative etc.
