I have a decent idea of how I want to ask my gf but I'm always looking for some better ideas.

They way my husband did the proposal was just breath taking... We were at the Josh Groban concert and tapped me on the shoulder and asked if I had one wish to come true, what would it be??? I looked at him and said there is tons of those wishes I would like for them to come true.. During the third song, he asked me again, and I looked at him and said to be the future Mrs... He then got on one knee and then asked me to marry him.. :D I said yes!! It was an awesome night.. 3 is my favorite number and it was the third song of the concert, 3rd song on the cd, the date was 3/13 at 9:33 p.m. and we are a family of 3. :D It was soo cool!!!
Do something unique and not what she might expect. Good Luckkand congrats

The best is the one done from a sincere caring heart. When a man knows a women he cares for then it has more meaning.
I mean for some women they would love that extra special evening out with the question and ring coming at the end.
For another something public and flamboyant would work. For someone else they would prefer the privacy of being home along together.
Sounds like you care, now just think about her, the things you and she talk about her likes etc,
Or get a bunch of Chick flicks to rent and take out food watch them with her, and then get her to talk about the proposal scenes finding out which she thinks are bogus or sweet can give you a good idea as to what she would consider the best.
The best is the one that is best for you and her.

I was proposed to on what I thought was going to be a jog around the park on Thanksgiving morning. He said lets stop at the rose garden really quick and then started talking about us. I wasnt sure if he was even really proposing until he got on his one knee. I was shocked. It was great. I so wasnt planning for this - I was in sweats with messy hair and no makeup. I wouldnt change a thing. Good luck!

Incorporate it into something she likes. My wife used to direct plays, so I prosposed during one of the performances. She had no idea I was there until the curtains drew back and I was on the stage. I would suggest you think of something she enjoys, and go from there to come up with a good idea.

If the person really loves you no proposal is a bad proposal but some jewelry stores offer a teddy bear and my bf stuck my ring in the pouch that the teddy bear was holding. it was really cute.

I've always thought the best proposals are done in public so the crowd can cheer and she can get all embarassed. But you have to consider what's right for you and how she will react.

One that suits your (your = both of you) style. It could be simple, you cook a dinner with some candles and flowers. It could be extravagant, like a private hot balloon ride over a mountain. Just keep true to your style
You could choose to serenade her with a song. Or a self-written poem. Or you could say nothing at all.

A friend of mine placed a large sign on the beach which read'' Helen will you marry me please '' He gave her a present of a flying lesson and the pilot was given directions to fly over the spot where the question was laid out.. I thought that was pretty cool..
