Shame on her. The one thing that all adults have is choice. She had hers and this is yours. This is terrible behavior and she should go to a councilor to educate her on boundries.
My son made a wonderful choice and any time he even hints that she is less than perfect, I remind him that he has to change, not her. I will not let him discredit her for anything. Family gatherings are a joy when the parents learn to trust and be endearing.. otherwise, she should not be allowed in your home as she will cause disharmony. It's too hard to survive as a unit as is, without her destroying by inuendos. Have her pastor talk to her. Stop it right now.

well being a mom, i know that no man will be good enough for my daughter, i don't care if he is a king. so if he has done something to you to make your mom not like him, i have no idea, except, you need to talk to your mom from your heart. remember no one will ever ever love you as much as your mother does! she loves you more then your husband will ever dream of!

Tell her she raied a good daughter that makes good decisions and to please trust you on this decision. Then give her an example or two of what your husband and mom have in common. It wouldn't hurt to remind her that you'll always be her daughter.

Your husband is your choice in life, just tell your mom you are in love with him, he makes you happy, and could she please try to accept him for your sake. You could also try to find a common bond (something they are both interested in) to draw them closer as friends.

Ask her not to badmouth your husband, because you are married to him. If she does, avoid her. She doesn't have to like him, but she should not speak ill of him in your presence.
If she's right, of course, you will find out on your own. And then you can ask for her support.

Tell her that you understand her concerns, but you are grown and that you have made your decision on the person that you would love to share life with.....and if it does not work out....it was your choice not hers...tell her that you will keep in mind what she says, but it's not her marriage....

Just let your mother know that your husband makes you happy. If your mother is wise, she will understand and let you be.

Simple, Ask her if your dad was your grandmas first choice... If it was then ask her why she cant be as understanding as Grandma.... If it wasnt, then ask her did it make a difference in her decision in marrying your dad...

Tell your mom that you love him and that if she loves you she should accept him. If she loves you she will.
