It is an interesting question...does God curse people, or just test people? Last year a preacher told me that the bad things happening in my life are a result of not living right with the Lord...and then I remembered Job. I wanted to ask him about that, but figured correctly that it wouldn't have done either of us any good. I am a Christian who believes that a pastor is a human being and not the ultimate authority on my relationship with God. Curses or harships? People make mistakes, and have to suffer the consequences of those mistakes. Sometimes people suffer hardships to teach them something or build character for something more difficult in the future. I really don't know how to know if God has cursed someone, because during the hardships I suffered last year, I had also received all kinds of blessings...and I had increased and improved my relationship with God. That pastor told me I was cursed...and I was still giving Bible studies, and teaching people about God, to those who wanted to hear about it. If we live right with God, love and serve Him with all of our heart, mind, body and soul...and do the same for our fellow humans...we don't have to fear curses. God will get us through our hardships like he did Job, and King David, and dozens of others in the Bible. We will all benefit if we realize where we stand with Him.

Why would it matter? If it is you, know that you curse yourself alone. As it is said, you reap what you sow, what you do, costs you. If it is another who is cursed, same applies, but you cannot help them except to try to show them a better way.
It is not your affair to worry about curses, nor to ask for another to be cursed, as it will cost you in the end. Call it a curse, bad luck, Karma, damnation...whatever, we mostly are affected by our own actions, and to a degree the evils imposed on us by others, but if we stay away from those kinds of people, that is less likely. Some of us can be "cursed" just by our poor choice of associations, "hangin' with the wrong crowd". Be right, be careful, and don't look for "curses" and other voodoo. God, or what force you believe in...will be there.

"Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them." - Matt. 7:17-20
Anyone living in sin is cursed in those sins. This is such a broad topic, but for example, adultery brings about a curse in the marriage. Trust is destroyed and the two can never be the same again.
To Chi C and MAZELL41, yes Yah is merciful and loving, but He is also jealous and most definitely brings curses with His judgment on the unrighteous. What bible are you reading to think he does not curse people?
Since the beginning, He has cursed disobedience (the serpent, Adam, and Eve in the garden). Please read the Scriptures for yourself instead of going by what your preacher said.

God isnt supposed to be a punishing god. Its usually someone else that curses a person. Cursing is considered voodoo and magic which would put it under Satans category.

God doesn't curse anyone. The Devil does. God will let the Devil come into your life to bring u closer to him. God gives the power to tell the Devil when enough is enough. Look at JOBE.

This is just my opinion. I think it's the person who allows themselves to indulge in sin, Satan loves this. God on the other hand lets you choose right or wrong, so if you choose to commit sin, then when things go wrong, you blame god, its not his fault, you knew better, and chose the road your on. I can say with full knowledge, i destroyed my, temple by smoking, now i have cancer, i cant blame god for cursing me, i can only blame my self for indulging, in what Satan laid before me.

I don't know which GOD you worship but the one that I do is a loving, forgiving GOD. He doesn't curse anyone. He does nothing bad such as that. He is all knowing, all loving & all forgiving. He may test folks' faith sometimes but he still loves them.
