I've looked online and I can only find that up to 2004 farms (such as civets) were shut down and quarantined, and fines were implemented for the trade of the meat.

The last case was in 2004 - have these regulations been relaxed? Is civet specifically eaten in China lawfully now?

Thanks to anyone who can help - maybe there's someone out there who lives in China and can tell me?!

The SARS epidemic ended two years ago.
It's gone, finished.....Now it's the Avian Flu that everyone's worried about. You might want to look that one up.
