I have plans on getting a sea turtle tattoo on my ankle. I know how I want the shape to be, but I can't settle on a color, or the inside design on the shell. I don't have that creative of a mind. Any creative souls out there, if you have any fun ideas, please let me know! Thanks!!

i would let the tattoo artist decide the creative things because a good tattoo artist will be able to do something that will look much better than anything one of us could think of. i have a sea turtle on my back that isn't finished yet and i never even saw a sketch of it before he did it. he just freehanded the design on my back, i looked at it in the mirror and he tattooed it on me. i find it is best to let my tattoo artist run with his ideas. of course i only do this because i know and trust my tattoo artist.

I would start with a website like www.tattooartists.org. they have thousands of great tattoos....(uploaded by artists) You should also go to www.ratemyink.com This site will let anybody upload a pic of their ink.....so while you will find a few really great tattoos here you're also going to find some real stinkers.....which is good.....because sometimes its better to see what WON'T work .......than what will. i think the flower with the turtle is cool and the shapes of flowers or stars on the shell is cool too so as far as color you can decide when you get there ask the artist to see his ink collection and pick from there

when you go to the tattoo artist a lot of time they will throw out some ideas for you you just tell them what you'd like and ask them what they think would look good they're the ones who draw it up and they're experienced so they usually know what will look good but it's your tattoo and you'll have it forever so take your time and find something that you'll love not just like b/c its stuck with you forever. good luck

well if you want is a solid color (kinda making it look more tibial) you can do it in dark green or dark blue and the shell can just be shapes of flowers or circle cut outs.
