I have been dying my hair red for years. I recently decided to switch to dark brown, but it always ends up looking like it needs hilites. Twice I have bought a brown hilighter in a box from longs and when I put it in my hilites become red! Is there anyway to get rid of this red and still put in hilites?

try to find the closest shade of brown you want but make sure it says ash-brown..the ash removes the red
