Me and my boyfriend have been together for 3 years now and its always the same boring thing in the bed. I have asked him before if we would like to try and do new things. I have offered to dress up, do oral, new places and he says he's not excited by that. I am so sick and tired of the same 2 boring positions. I am so sick and tired of it and want to do more in the bedroom. Should I just make him do it or how can I get him to do some of the things with me. He has done them in the past, but he's tired of it. It's not fair, I want some kinky sex not always to be made love to.

I understand your predicament well. He sounds like the typical "meat and potatoes" kind of guy. He also sounds as if he may be shy and insecure about himself. He probably fears that he won't be able to do anything more than just the two standard positions. Perhaps he has an inexplicable fear of change and is secretly afraid that if anything changes then the only result would or could be for the worse instead of for the better. Try your best to reassure him and help him to adapt to change. But you should know that if he resists you can't force him. If he truly refuses to even try doing something that would please you then perhaps this is a sign that you would be better matched with someone else. I hope not, three years is a long time. Don't ask him, just do it. Some people don't like that because it takes too much effort and they're lazy. Get out of the bedroom. Try doing it in strange places. If none of that works, I suggest counseling or either just move on and find someone you're compatible with. And I am on the same page as you. But my husband isn't quite that bad..........
