I would make sure they had a plan to get back into good credits otherwise I would seriously think twice. Once you get married, their credit is your credit.

If I cared for them I would first want them to fix their credit before committing to marriage. You can love the person to death but bad credit is bad credit. It closes more doors than you can imagine. Bad credit also says a lot about the person as to how they manage their money, excluding exceptions to the rule. Most couples divorce because of money so its better to know what you are getting yourself into so that you can be prepared.

It would depend on how he got into bad credit and if he plans on working his way out of it. I think that that is a very serious question to ask before getting married but I think its up to the person making the decision. Personally, I think if I really loved him I would marry him.

Bad credit is one of the worst problems to have... however there exists a solution.

I will hereby talk from my personal experience.

I did debt consolidation a couple of years ago, however If I had to do it again I would pay to some minor details,
if someone wants to get out of debt today it is pretty easy with a debt consolidation plan, however it may get a bit tricky at times, I suggest you get as much information as possible online on this first,

a good place to start in my humble opinion is astraight to the point ebook with question and answer I found :

if it helps kindly remember me in your voting!.. cheers!

It depends on how bad their credit is, if they are in debt, and it's under 1,000 dollars then I would marry them, but if they have bad credit all around I probably wouldn't or would, it depends on if I'm sure they are marrying me because they love me and not because of money. You'll never be able to get a house unless you buy it, but you guys are partners. At least he'll never be able to kick you out. Just remember that his debts are now you're debts and your debts his. Good luck babe!

yes i know that for a fact i would not have a problem with being wed to a man that could be a man, treat me right, be worth my time, energy and trust, even if he had bad credit, but good luck finding a man that can be a man, let alone be worth all of that. money and finances should have no part to play when it comes to the person that you love. love them for them, or don't love them at all.

NO, if you marry someone with bad credit it becomes your debt and bad credit as well. It is good that you do a back ground check on someone before tying the knot with them.

Sure. And I would help him work on it so we could have an even stronger credit rating for a smoother transition in to marriage.

Like marriage isn't difficult enough....who needs the financial woes?

If I love him, I'd stick with him and work it out.

Only if it was a few years old at least. If she is being bothered by bill collectors and doesn't look like she is responsible with money then NO i would not. I have been down that road a few times and its not a pretty picture.
