my 94 toyota was fine till it sat for a few days in real cold weather then i got in it and drovr it the speedo acted funny? it didn"t wanna move up to speed till i got it warmed upa nd on down the road? seemed kinda sluggish? the miles and trip work great just the speed hand was acting up? would the speed sensor on the tranny be goin bad? thanks?

Hi, Most likely it is your Speedometer cable that attached to your transmission to Odometer cluster.
how to test disconnect the cable on the transmission and take a cordless drill attached to the speedo gears in the cable that you have removed and see it if turns the odometer inside the car.If so then you most likely have a worn tooth in the tranny assemble. note you want to go closewise first and then counter clockwise with the cordless drill to run the cable have someone stay in the car and help you watch at the same time. look at picture link below it is below the air intake rubber tube on the rightside of engine when you are facing the car in front of you. black cable is attached to transmission and goes inside the firewall to other side "inside" of car. If the odometer is still working normally when the speedo isn't I would suspect a faulty gauge.

If your odometer is showing miles on the car its a sticking needle
in the gage assembly
