Heh...When people are below the age of 20, they try their hardest to look older. When they start creeping up to the 30 area, they wanna look younger.
So, what's the rush in wanting to look older? Trust me, in the end, you will love th fact that you look younger.
If need be, you can try different hairstyles(the way you have your hair cut, and styled can make a world of difference), you can try putting on SOME makeup(not too heavy and don't pile it on, it will only destroy[not quite...but wrinkles, and you get to the point that you feel like you can't go out without an inch of makeup] your skin afterwards). At 17, it is always good to get some recommendations as to what makeup is good for you and your skin. (best way that I have found is by going to makeup stores, and a lot of them will sit you down -for free!- and help you pick out the colours that actually suit you). So a light layer of foundation, maybe some eyeliner, some mascara, you don't really need blush, and a light lipstick will do.
And then as for clothing, you can't really change what you like, and I don't know what style you chose to wear, so I can't really give much help there. But you can always try out more "sophisticated" clothing. Like a nice shirt, but you can still wear jeans(to show that you're not THAT old), and a pair of nice boots.

Can't always help it. I'm 22 and look 16. I know I'll love it when I'm 40 but it sucks now. I feel for you.

DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT. I'M 46 AND PEOPLE STILL GUESS MY AGE AS BEING AT LEAST 10 TO 15 YEARS YOUNGER. DON'T SWEAT THE SMALL STUFF. ACTING YOUR AGE IS WHAT MATTERS
