Not with tight airport security. You're more likely to get shot as soon as you leave the airport. Wear a bulletproof vest.

Here's a little tip: If you're flying into Detroit Metropolitan Airport (airport code DTW) you're actually flying into the city of Romulus, which is about 15 miles away from the western border of the city of Detroit. Romulus is actually a very safe town, so you don't have to worry about getting shot once you get off the plane or once you step off the curb at the airport. Here's another tip: Most of the suburbs of Detroit are safe, and as with most cities the suburbs north and west of Detroit are more safe than the suburbs to the south. If you venture into the city of Detroit, the only places worth seeing are downtown near the riverfront, and you only want to frequent these places during daylight hours.

A bullet proof vest, fly to an adjacent city and drive the remainder, wear a disguise on the plane, or change your appearance somehow.
