This is happening to me now, someone i've been out with a few times and i see around is very keen, texting me and asking me out all the time for the past 2 months... And i don't know what to do! I am flattered but at the same time it scares me off so i'm always being very vague and things aren't really moving. It's typical, we prefer the 'hard to get' guys.

trust me being too keen is better than trying to play it really cool like you are not so keen even though u are on a date with her. but how keen is keen here? did you talk about marriage or moving in together. if didn't then you can still redeem yourself. just give it a couple of days then ring her and tell her it is unlike you to be too forward but that you were a little nervous and that was why you came across the way you did

i'd never go out with the same guy twice but if it's the first date and he's coming on to keen i'd tell him to calm down and put it down to neves and give him a second chance

I wouldgive him another chance, but i would tell him to just calm down and take it a step back. Maybe he was just excited or nervous and that is definitally ok. Not every first date is perfect and that is the way i should be. reality is tough sometimes but women can't expect a fairytale

Probably not. We don't like "clingy" just as much as you don't.

If he wanted a second chance, he'd better be aloof about it. He needs to be in her line of sight, but still be out of the way. Tell him to make her come to him, by sort of "dangling" himself as bait.

Only problem is that she might not take the bait....ever. If not, he can just move on.

I love English guys. Tell your friend to come to Chicago!
