I'm getting married to my fiance who's father is of british citizenship, but we stay in South Africa, I need to know what proceedures or regulations there are to follow for me to obtain british citizenship through us getting married so we can move to the U.K.

You do not give enough information. However let me try and help you, rather than give you thumb suck information.
You do not say if your fiance's father was born in the UK or if he got citizenship through his father (your fiance's grandfather)
If he was born in Britain then your Fiance can register as a British citizen at the British consulate in Pretoria. Once done you may apply for a settlement visa and you can come here and work. It will then take 3 years to get indefinite stay and a further 1 year to naturalise.
If he was not born here and he got it through his Father then Your fiance may apply for an ancestral visa, once she has that you may apply to come over with her and it will take her 4 years and you 5 years to naturalise.
As you can see from the answers above immigration is a sensitive subject in UK at present and they don't realise that South Africans are generally much harder workers and are a credit to the UK economy.
These rules change almost monthly so what applies today may not later so opskit Boytjie.
If you need any more help please e mail me.

The best thing to do is get all the paperwork done before you even think of coming over to the UK.. I've seen it happen lots of times where married couples still have to split up because one or the other of them are born in another country.

I know it's a lot of hassle.. and it takes a long time, but it will be worth it in the long run.

Good luck.

And to all you other guys who make the snide remarks.. at least she is asking before she turns up in the UK.. she hasn't just arrived here and expected to stay..

If I were you though.. I would continue to live in Africa.. it's a beautiful place.. with wonderful weather.. and great animals.. why would you want to come and live here.. It's cold and unpredictable here.. visit by all means.. but you're so lucky to be elsewhere..

For one if he isn't actually British he has to become British first by naturalization as his father is British.then you have to get married apply through the British embassy in your country and wait until it goes through. Its a long process i am with an English man and i am Canadian which is commonwealth and i am having a very hard time staying here.I doubt you will actually be allowed to come and stay maybe but i hightly doubt it.the way it sounds your husband to be isnt even british so good luck on that.

Contact the Home Office- but i would advise you not to come to Britian, try Canada instead. I doubt that you can obtain British citizenship via you fiances father, was/he she born in UK?

So, you want to come here to be unmercifully taxed on every thing, you must be out of your mind, some one out there must be telling everyone that Britain is paved with gold, well its not, it is paved with homeless beggars, who cant afford to live in a property because they cant afford the high rents, council tax, high power charges, high water charges, high cost of living, and then we have all the illegal immigrants hassling you for money (often in a threatening manner) but hey, if you want to come here I am sure the government would welcome you with open arms, some one else to tax.

Do as the rest do - jump a truck heading to the UK, then after 6 months get your family to do the same :-(

Admire your braveness...you'll get some scuzzy answers before the night's out - looks like a couple have come out of the woodwork already, but I'm sure someone will answer with maturity...hope your tolerance pulls you through...and anyone who supports you will be punished with 'thumbs down' by the petty ones.
Nice one, bty.

Why bother. Britain is run by socialists who try and f*ck it up. Plus, the weather is awful
