This is only a natural cure based on my own experience and this is no substitute for medical advice: This happened to my own family many years ago. We started taking large doses of garlic capsules 2 or 3, 2 to 3 times per day, and drinking a good amount of water....We were stinky, but well.
good luck & blessing

Not necessarily. You need to tell your parents about this. When was the last time you had a complete physical? Blood work? Strep throat usually appears suddenly with a severe sore throat. The throat is so sore that many people find it painful to talk or even swallow. In severe cases, breathing may be impaired. A fever may be present, though some people may only have a low-grade fever. Productive coughing, nasal discharge, and red, irriated eyes in addition to fever and sore throat are more indicative of a viral sore throat than of strep throat, though a co-infection with a virus is possible and may explain the presence of these additional symptoms. A Rapid Strep Test or a throat culture as well as the appearance of red spots on the back of the tongue will produce a conclusive diagnosis.

I was told by one doctor it was strep throat and he sent me home with antibiotics over and over for more than 6 times in 3 months. Each time he took a swab but I never learned if it was positive.
I finally moved and saw another doctor who said that it was NEVER strep throat and instead it was allergies. I was put on the prescription Allegra-D and I never had a strep throat or swollen tonsils again for years! A sore throat maybe, but never like strep.
I think doctors misdiagnose strep too much. Don't let the doctor give you too much anitbiotics, your body will become immune!
Good Luck.

The problem is that you are not actually curing it. You would be better of trying to ride it out WITHOUT anitbiotics. Now strep is dangerous and poses some serious health concerns, so I am not telling you to abandon medicine altogether. However I am not one of the fools who buy into the pharma/medical money making scheme of pushing as much medicine as possible to turn profits.
Try to get plenty of rest, try to eat properly, and try to avoid stressful situations. It will take some time before the sickness goes away. If on the otherhand you begin to get a high fever, you will want to go back to the antibiotics. But if the high fever never arises, you should try to go antibiotic free for 2-3 weeks and give your own immune system a chance at fighting it off.
You should really focus on eating healthy, fresh garlic and ginger, lemon juice in your tea, cayenne pepper in your soup, all of the old standards will offer some help. Try gargling with apple cider vinegar.
If you go for the antibiotics every time you are not doing your body a favor.

Are you sure it's Strep again, or could you possibly have bad tonsils? Strep shouldn't come back like that, so soon after being treated with antibiotics. If your tonsils are really bad, the doctor might want to go another way. Ask him or her what's up--call on the phone.

1st make sure you wsh your hands frequently. Also buying new toothbrushes and such or soaking them in Listerine fora while is another good step. Also, stay away from any immune deppressants such as alch beverages and drugs (perscription or otherwise) if you are taking antibiotics. Try to takenotice ofyour suuroundings to see if there is a common person you come into contact with that may be passing it back to you (and v.v)

Sore throat is usually due to a viral infection. Gargling with warm salty water or mouthwash can reduce the pain and inconvenience. You can find some good home remedies at http://ailments.in/sorethroat.html

Your doctor has to switch you to another antibiotic as it looks like what he's picked so far is not working for you! Each antibiotic is different, so it's worth a try. You can't leave it, you've got to get rid of it. Sometimes they can be persistent. It happened to me once!

I never heard of anyone getting rid of Strep as quickly as you seem to think it should be gone. I had it for over a month. I also had mono at the same time...Maybe if you aren't convinced, ask your dr. for a mono test as well...Feel better.

You may not believe this but: Throw out your old toothbrush!
It is likely you are re-infecting yourself with your old toothbrush.. Thoroughly disinfect any water glass or other oral health devices. In a pinch you could soak your toothbrush & bathroom water glass in hydrogen peroxide. Watch it work as it fizzes.
